Welcome to the Web site of AIDS Quilt Rhode Island. We began in 1992 as a chapter of the NAMES Project Foundation
and have since become an independent organization. Although we are no longer officially affiliated with the NAMES Project Foundation, we still share that organization's mission,
which is "to preserve, care for, and use the AIDS Memorial Quilt to promote healing, heighten awareness and inspire action in the struggle against AIDS." We are devoted to using
the Quilt to fight AIDS in Rhode Island and neighboring regions of Massachusetts and Connecticut.
The woman to the left is Ann Antoni, a beloved Quilt volunteer. We honor her memory by running Anna's Workshop, a program designed to help young people understand
the Quilt, learn basic information about AIDS, and develop compassion for PLWAs (People Living With AIDS). Want to know more? Click Anna's Workshop.
AIDS Quilt RI was featured on the “Sew to Serve” page of Bernina’s site, WeAllSew.com, in March, 2011.
Our name will remain on that page, with a link to our site. (See story in the April 2011 newsletter.)
We invite you to visit the WeAllSew site often.
